Pumpkin Progression Pyrography Study Pattern

This multi-level study pattern features three autumn pumpkin designs that progress from a simple beginner pumpkin to a richly textured pumpkin and finally a detailed jack-o'-lantern. Each version builds upon the same basic form while introducing additional shading, texture, contrast, and decorative details, making this an excellent progressive study for developing pyrography skills.

Ideal for beginner, intermediate, and advanced pyrographers, this study allows artists to practice at their current skill level or work through all three designs as a progression. The beginner pumpkin focuses on clean outlines, basic form, and gentle shading; the intermediate design introduces stronger values, surface texture, dimensional shading, and curling vines; and the advanced jack-o'-lantern adds deeper contrast, carved facial features, more complex textures, and dramatic dark values. Together, the three designs provide a fun seasonal exercise in creating rounded form, believable texture, depth, and increasingly sophisticated value control.

Joining Minisa's weekly livestream was the best decision I made for my journey into pyrography.

Minisa is very attentive to my questions and helps me troubleshoot projects.  Her attention to details and making what looks impossible come to life is nothing short of genius.  I have been unsure of realism and thought I could not achieve anything other than signs and wording until I started watching Minisa.

You will absolutely love the weekly streams whether you are a beginner, or just looking for inspiration.
